How to create a vCard QR code
A vCard QR code is a digital business card. Instead of handing over a paper card that gets lost, someone scans your code and their phone offers to save your entire contact record — name, number, email, company and site — in a single tap.
- Fill in your details. Name plus at least one contact method; add company, title and website for a richer card.
- Brand it (optional). Set your colours and add a logo in the design section.
- Keep it scannable. With a logo, switch error correction to High.
- Download and add it to your card, badge, email signature or shop window.
Where vCard codes shine
Networking events and conferences — scan a badge, save the contact, move on. Printed business cards get a code on the back so details never get mistyped. Email signatures and LinkedIn banners carry one so anyone can save you instantly. Sales reps, tradespeople and consultants use them to make sure their number ends up in the phone, not the bin.
vCard QR code FAQ
What is a vCard QR code?
It is a QR code that holds a full contact card — name, phone, email, company and website. When scanned, the phone offers to add all of it as a new contact in one tap, instead of the person typing each field.
Which fields should I include?
At minimum a name and one way to reach you (phone or email). Adding company, job title and website makes the saved contact more useful. Leave any field blank and it is simply omitted from the code.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. The code uses the standard vCard format that both platforms recognise through the camera or a QR scanner, prompting to save the contact.
Can I add a logo or brand colours?
Yes — open the design section to set your colours and drop a logo in the centre. Use High error correction with a logo so the code stays scannable.
Does the contact code expire?
No. The details are encoded directly into the pattern, so it works forever with no account or subscription. If your details change, generate a new code.
