How to create an app download QR code

An app QR code sends people straight to your store listing to install. It removes the search step — no typing the app name, no picking the wrong result — turning a poster, pack or slide into a one-scan download.

  1. Copy your store listing link from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Paste it above and check the preview.
  3. Style it (optional) with colours and a centre logo.
  4. Download as PNG, SVG or JPEG for posters, packaging or decks.

Where app QR codes are used

Launch posters and transit ads. Product packaging and in-box cards. Investor and sales decks. Event stands and conference screens. Because typing an app name is where installs leak away, a scan straight to the store keeps intent from cooling. For dual-platform campaigns, place labelled iOS and Android codes together.

App download QR code FAQ

How do I make a QR code for my app?

Open your app's page on the App Store or Google Play, copy the listing link, and paste it above. Scanning opens that store page ready to install.

Can one code cover both iPhone and Android?

A single QR encodes one link, so it can point to the App Store or to Google Play, but not both at once with a static code. To send each phone to the right store automatically you would need a smart-redirect landing page, which requires hosting. Many teams simply place two codes side by side, labelled iOS and Android.

Which link should I use?

Use the public store listing link (apps.apple.com/… or play.google.com/…). Avoid developer-console or preview links, which won't open for the public.

Can I brand the code?

Yes — colours, shapes and a centre logo are all available. Use High error correction when adding a logo.

Is it free with no expiry?

Yes — a free static code, no account, unlimited scans, and it never expires.
